Cecile van Dijk provided costume design for The Beat Beneath My Feet<\/em> (2016), a British comedy-drama directed by John Williams<\/strong>. The film tells the story of Tom (Nicholas Galitzine), a teenage loner who discovers that his unruly neighbour Steve (Luke Perry) is in fact a disgraced rock god who faked his own death eight years earlier to escape a fortune in unpaid taxes.<\/p>\n

When Tom agrees to keep Steve’s secret, an unlikely friendship blossoms, with the ageing rocker agreeing to teach the boy how to become a rock legend himself. The film also stars Lisa Dillon, and blends humour, nostalgia and heart in its exploration of music, identity and mentorship across generations.
