She is also an accomplished costume maker having worked as as cutter\/consultant on multiple UK and international independent and studio film projects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She has worked alongside, amongst others, Oscar winning designer Michael O\u2019Connor (The Duchess, Suite Francaise, Tulip Fever), Michael Kaplan (Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi), Ellen Mirojnick (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Bridgerton) and Mark Bridges (Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s Phantom Thread) who won both Bafta and Oscar for Best Costume. Notably, <strong>she also personally coached Daniel Day-Lewis on haute couture tailoring techniques for his Oscar-nominated role in the film<\/strong> \u2014 an experience that led to her appearing on screen alongside him in one of the film&rsquo;s scenes.\u00a0<br \/>Discover her recent work on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cecilevandijk.com\/index.php\/films\/pompeii-out-of-time-with-tom-hiddleston\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston\" rel=\"noopener\">Pompeii: Out of Time<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cecilevandijk.com\/index.php\/films\/einstein-and-the-bomb\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"Einstein and the Bomb \u2013 Netflix\" rel=\"noopener\">Einstein and the Bomb<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Drawing on her extensive skills set and experience, C\u00e9cile has proven to be a great team leader as she understands the technicalities of costume making, as well as the intricacies of planning a project within budget and running tight deadlines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She studied at London\u2019s Central Saint Martins School of Art &amp; Design and the London College of Fashion.
